Surbhi Jyoti Boyfriend:
Currently the most talked about actress of the Indian television industry, the vivacious Surbhi Jyoti, popularly known as Zoya of Qubool Hai, claims to be 100% single. On being questioned about her relationship status, she cleverly remarked that she is a newcomer to the telly town and has hardly any time to have a special person in her life! For Surbhi, her career is the top most priority in her life.
A little birdie close to Surbhi however whispered that the feisty actress is apparently going around with a Punjabi guy named Zoravar Singh, brother to actress Madhurjeet Sargi. They met at a social gathering in Punjab and it was love at first sight for Zoravar. He kept on chasing Surbhi and also proposed to her. She is rumored to having accepted his proposal recently.
According to Zoravar, the two are not dating but are very good friends! In fact, they went to college together and also participated in many plays!
Surbhi stated that she only knows the guy through a common friend. His phone number is not even there in her contact list which clearly means that there’s nothing going on between the two. Surbhi says ‘I am working with two good looking guys onscreen but in real life I am single’!
Surbhi Jyoti Biography and Family:
Surbhi Jyoti was born on 29th May in the year 1988. She was born to a Punjabi Brahmin family and hails from Jalandhar, Punjab. She did her schooling from Shiv Jyoti Public Shool, Jalandhar. After completing her schooling, she pursued her graduation from Hanraj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HMMV). Surbhi also holds an MA degree in English Literature from the well renowned Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Punjab.
Her father is into a rubber chemicals business whereas her mother is a homemaker. Surbhi moved to Mumbai to fulfill her dreams of becoming an actress. Currently, she resides in Mumbai with one of her cousins whereas her parents stay in Jalandhar along with her younger brother Sooraj. Her younger brother is pursuing his B.tech. She says that her family has been very supportive towards her career in acting.
Initially, she had been a theatre artist and debater before stepping into the small screen industry. Surbhi also won the National Debate Championship thrice and twice out of three times, she spoke on women empowerment. She has acted in many Punjabi films and has also worked in several Punjabi TV serials. Apart from movies and TV serials, she has also appeared in various music videos in the Punjabi film industry.
Surbhi Jyoti Current Show:
The 25 year old lady debuted the small screen industry with the daily soap Qubool Hai. She bagged the female lead role in the TV serial with a Muslim backdrop. Here, she plays the role of an NRI named Zoya Farooqui, who hails from New York. The plot starts with Zoya coming to India in search of her father. She stays at a relative’s place – The Khan’s house in Bhopal.
She happens to meet Asad Ahmed Khan (portrayed by handsome hunk Karan Singh Grover – Dr. Armaan of popular youth show Dill Mill Gayye), the owner of the Khan House. Asad is a very traditional and disciplined man. He hates Zoya’s carefree and immature nature. Asad is a cleanliness freak whereas Zoya is very messy. The two get into constant clashes as they can’t bear each other.
Asad also feels that Zoya is a bad influence to his sister Najma but her intentions are always pure and innocent. Later, he realizes his mistakes, feels ashamed and also apologizes. Asad addresses her as Miss Farooqui whereas Zoya addresses him as Mr. Khan / Mr. six pack abs/ Mr. Akdu Ahmed Khan.
Soon after, Asad and Zoya fall in love. Asad’s mother gets very happy when she finds out and she announces her son’s wedding to Zoya. But Asad’s childhood friend Tanveer (played by beautiful actress Amrapali Gupta) enters the Khan’s house with cruel intentions to marry Asad.
She silently attempts to murder Zoya numerous times in order to get close to Asad. Later, Tanveer’s true face is revealed but there is a turn of events where Zoya accidentally gets married to Asad’s half brother Ayaan (essayed by actor Vikrant Massey, last seen as Shyaam in family drama Balika Vadhu). And then the story revolves around the three main characters of the show – Asad, Zoya and Ayaan.
The Indian soap opera produced by 4 Lions Films airs on Zee TV every Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM. It has received an overwhelming response and audience love Asad and Zoya’s sizzling onscreen chemistry. Qubool Hai is the next TV series with a Muslim background after Heena.

The Qubool Hai girl has worked in many Punjabi films before Qubool Hai. She acted in the movie Ik Kudi Punjab Di in the year 2010 wherein she played the role of a girl named Preet. Next she was seen in the Punjabi film Munde Patiaala De in 2012 where she essayed the role of Priyanka. She also donned the lead role in the movie Raula Pe Gaya where she portrayed the role of Reet.
Apart from acting in Punjabi films, the jovial actress also appeared in many Punjabi daily soaps. She played a cameo role as the heroine’s best friend named Sona, in the serial Akiyaan Toh Door Jaayein Na. Surbhi also picked a role in Kach Diya Wanga where she played the role of Preet.
