Motherhood is a very humanizing effect. Everything gets reduced to essentials – Meryl Streep.
Mothers are the best thing that can happen to a person; they are loving, forbearing and forgiving. A mother is born along with her child, before that she was just anther woman, being a mother not only makes the woman a different entity altogether but also makes her very, very special. All mothers have loved their children and expected nothing in return; a mother’s love is the most selfless kind of love. She is the bearer of the child and the maker of its life; she sacrifices her personal requirements for her children without even thinking twice. It is indeed true, that God created mother because he could not be everywhere. Mothers are God’s most precious creations, cherish them!
Most women love the idea of motherhood; they give birth to their children and take care of them for the rest of their lives. Be it home-makers or working women none forego the concept of motherhood, and plan to be mothers in the future. No matter how career oriented a woman is, she never closes or shuts down the idea of raising a child. In fact, women who cannot give birth because of health or medical issues, embrace the concept of adoption. Today, many childless couples opt for adoption so that the vacant space of their lives can be occupied by their child’s laughter. Even the biggest of the female film stars, scientists, astronauts, athletes, politicians, have given birth to healthy babies and been successful in their endeavor of raising their children, flawlessly. Therefore motherhood is an inborn trait in women which germinates with childbirth.
Many Hollywood and Bollywood female celebrities have been successful moms. They have even made come-backs after childbirth and most of them have been triumphant in the process. With changing time, directors and producers have welcomed actresses post-childbirth. Most Bollywood actresses today have done successful comebacks after childbirth and the industry has accepted them with open arms, fans have also encouraged their favorite such actresses, in fact, the biggest names in Bollywood have been successful mothers. Kajol and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are examples.
Hollywood has never been partial towards the unmarried actresses, most talented Hollywood actresses have children and they are very open about it. From Meryl Streep to Angelina Jolie to Nicole Kidman, all have flourished as actresses after giving birth to their children. If one looks at our Indian small screen artistes, most of them are married with children. Shweta Tiwari, Urvashi Dholakia, etc may be bombshells in their reel lives but are dedicated moms in their real lives.
Urvashi Dholakia is mother to her 16 year old twins. The actress who is synonymous with Komolika Basu is a very hardworking and loving mother. She was born in a Gujrati family on the 19th of July 1979. The 33 year old got married at the tender age of 16 and gave birth to her sons when she turned 17. One might understand the plight of Urvashi since she had to take care of twin children when she was a teenager herself. The lady has shown a lot of strength and willpower in raising her sons alone because she split with her husband after 2 years of marriage. She has been a single mother since the age of 18, where most girls celebrate independence at this age, Urvashi wholeheartedly embraced motherhood and raised her children without any external support. While her personal life is publicized she makes sure that her sons are away from controversies and limelight.
The sexy siren Urvashi Dholakia‘s sons study in a renowned boarding school. Being a working mother Urvashi could not devote a lot of time to her sons, she had to earn money and run errands; she has swimmingly performed the role of mother and father with her dignity intact. Her sons had also been to the Bigg Boss house in season 6 to visit their mother who was undergoing a lot of trepidation regarding her character and conduct in the show. Urvashi emerged as the winner of the reality show, beating Sana Khan, Imamuddin Siddiqui and Niketan Maddhok. Her single mother image got her a lot of sympathy from her fans which converted into innumerable votes owing to her victory. Urvashi Dholakia sons must be pleased after knowing that they are Urvashi’s top most priority and that she would go to any extent for making her sons’ lives better. She confessed all this in the reality TV show Sach ka Saamna which is the Indian adaptation of the popular American reality show The Moment of Truth.
The single-mother has been involved in a number of controversies, be it her on and off affairs with music director Sandeep Chowta or her relationship with the much younger TV actor Anuj Sachdev. Urvashi maintains that she will never let any man rule over her life again, and she will never leave her career for any man. Though she has no plans of getting married, she says that her sons’ opinion about her future husband (if any) is very important to her, if she finds a suitable match for herself. Urvashi Dholakia’s son have been very supportive of their mother and are the reason why she works so hard.
In spite of having a very successful television career Urvashi has done a few B-grade films like Chumban, the Kiss (2006) the film was directed by G.S Saraskumar. She has done a Bhojpuri films as well, which was named Saas Rani, Bahu Naukrani. This rough patch was probably the reason why she accepted to go to the Bigg Boss house, she had to be in the limelight and finally lady luck smiled upon her; she was the winner of the reality show. She won Rs 50 lakh, and her sons were there to share the euphoric moment with her. The actress announced that all the money would be kept for her sons’ future. This is what motherhood is all about, in spite of undergoing so much harassment in the Bigg Boss house she wanted all the money she had won to be saved for her kids, instead of splurging on her own needs.
